Manager at Prudential Impact Investments

Luke Apicella is a manager with Prudential Impact Investments, where he is focused on growing the portfolio to $1 billion through origination and asset management. With over a decade of impact investing experience, he covers numerous relationships, industries, asset types, and impact objectives. Apicella also serves on the boards and committees for several portfolio companies including a REIT, a community development finance institution, and a local start-up. Transactional highlights include a state tax credit fund for solar project developments, a co-investment with a leading private equity fund in a high-growth sustainable consumer goods company, and an investment in a private equity fund focused on affordable housing.

Apicella joined Prudential in 2007 as an impact investor in the Office of Corporate Social Responsibility. In his current role, he performs valuation, forecasting and reporting tasks with a view toward providing investment recommendations based on social, environmental and financial impacts. He graduated with an M.Sc. from Columbia’s Sustainability Management program in 2015. He also holds an MBA from New York University and a BS from Syracuse University.
