Maria Uquillas

Maria Clara Uquillas is a first-year Master of Science candidate in Columbia University’s Sustainability Management Program. Maria grew up in Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, and ultimately New York where she graduated from Binghamton University with degrees in Financial Economics and Political Science. Prior to graduate school, she worked as an alternative asset research analyst, specializing in infrastructure and natural resource investment trends in Latin America. Her role included private equity market research, forecasting, and creating lasting relationships with fund managers. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in renewable energy financing or impact investing.
