Andre Shepley – Product Manager and Researcher at TruValue Labs
Andre Shepley is currently a Product Manager and Researcher at TruValue Labs, an AI technology start-up that provides real-time ESG data alongside other bespoke solutions. Prior to TruValue, Andre has spent ~6 years in equity research and trading across consumer, energy, and industrial sectors at UBS Investment Bank. He is keen on driving awareness to the intersection of environmental, social, and governance issues and financial markets, with a particular focus on shifting perception around fundamental valuation methodologies. At UBS Andre co-published research on ESG stock selection, a framework that conceptualizes absolute and relative ESG investing in light of competitive positioning and portfolio transitions.
Andre is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Sustainability Management at Columbia University while continuing to work full time at TruValue. He hopes to spread awareness of sustainability issues / sustainability finance to the broader community at Columbia. Andre also holds a B.A. in Economics from Pomona College where he was also a member of the Hall of Fame Hampshire Honors Society.
